A Firebird

  • IMG_29531 part Lillet white
  • 1 part tequila blanco
  • 1/2 part tequila reposado or anejo
  • 1 1/2 part pomegranate juice
  • squeeze of fresh lemon and / or grapefruit juice
  1. shake vigorously over ice + strain to a martini glass
  2. garnish with brandied cherry * and grapefruit twist
  3. season sweet ** or smoky *** to taste

* = soak maraschino cherries in equal parts calvados and / or brandy (Remy) overnight

** = splash the cherry soaking liquid

*** = pour over an ice cube made from strong lapsang souchong tea; remove prior to serving
